Are YOU a new Westmarches player and want a help with the ropes? Don't know where to start, with all the channels on the discord and past years information about? This is for you! Character Sheet Creators/Help

• D&D Beyond - Simply put, the handiest resource. Only downside is the cost for all the source material, but worry not! We have a society account, so just join at once of the campaign links and work away! (Best used for purely 5.5e characters)
  You'll have to get into a campaign link that's not full, if there's not space in any of these please let the committee know!

• 5eTools - A free resource for any D&D rules, this is super handy for if you know what you're doing and want to make a physical sheet or a digital sheet that doesn't use D&D Beyond!

• RPGBOT - RPGBOT has tons of super helpful guides on good builds if you want to get into optimizing your characters, this link goes specifically to the 5.5e classes guide but there's tons more handy stuff if you want to take a look around!

Character Image Creators

We don't allow AI in the Discord because we don't like slop - but if you can't draw there's still ways to get your character idea across!

• Heroforge - Free 3D model maker for making your own custom minis. You don't need a real mini for the game so don't worry about buying one, but it can be fun to make the digital version of them!

• Picrew - This website is FULL of character creators, though it could take some searching through to get one that works for you. Have a browse around (its great for killing time)

• Draw it yourself! It doesn't need to be good, its the process of making it that's the most fun

• Commission an artist! Still don't want to draw your character? You can try find one that will! Personally I love this one artist Reinyx because their art is very good, cheap, and has a super fast turnaround time. I'd highly recommend!

Fun Activities

• Character Wiki Page Template - Character Wikis are a great way to think out all the intricacies of your backstory, and show off your little creature to everyone else! Send on your wiki page to me and I'll even add it to the season's section on the wiki!

• Make a character playlist! Is it songs that describe your character's vibe? Songs that your character would listen to you? Songs that detail significant backstory moments? That's all up to you when you make the playlist!

• Head to the Tavern RP channel! It tends to be open from the EGM right along til after the Finale, and is the best way to get engaged with the rp and social part of D&D Society! Make friends, make enemies (in game, of course) and overall chat away with each other while playing as your own character.
